2-Way 4.5-inch (114mm) Bookshelf Loudspeaker - Pair
Designed and engineered at JBL's esteemed Acoustic Engineering Center of Excellence in Northridge, California, the Stage 240B is the smallest bookshelf loudspeaker in the JBL Stage Series, delivering impressive audio performance from a compact design. The Stage 240B speakers are versatile enough to function as main speakers or surrounds. This loudspeaker features a 2-way design with JBL's Next Generation patented High-Definition Imaging (HDI™) waveguide geometry, a 1-inch (25mm) anodized aluminum dome tweeter, and a 4.5-inch (114mm) polycellulose ribbed cone woofer that provides deep, signature JBL bass.
4.5-inch (114mm) Polycellulose Ribbed Cone Woofer
Each speaker in the Stage 2 series is equipped with polycellulose ribbed cone woofers. The pure pulp cone is enhanced with a proprietary material mix to improve rigidity, while the ribbed design reflects JBL's legendary aesthetics. These woofers deliver deep, accurate, and room-filling bass.
1-inch (25mm) Anodized Aluminum Tweeter in a Next Generation HDI™ Waveguide
Through extensive research of previous waveguide designs, JBL has created a complex geometry that enhances directivity, reduces diffraction, and ensures a neutral frequency response both on and off-axis. The Stage 2 HDI horn is paired with an anodized aluminum dome tweeter to maximize efficiency and dynamics.
Precision 2-Way Crossover
The crossovers fitted to the Stage 2 series are constructed from premium components. The high-frequency section features air core inductors and mylar capacitors to minimize distortion and enhance sonic performance. The low-frequency section employs laminate core inductors and electrolytic capacitors. These high-quality materials can handle increased power and transmit energy more quickly, elevating overall system performance.
