2.5-Way Quad 4.5-inch (114mm) Center Channel Loudspeaker
Engineered at JBL's renowned Acoustic Engineering Center of Excellence in Northridge, California, the Stage 245C is a center channel loudspeaker designed to seamlessly blend with Stage 2 floorstanding mains, bookshelf mains, or even in-wall mains. This advanced loudspeaker features a 2.5-way design, incorporating JBL's Next Generation patented High-Definition Imaging (HDI™) waveguide geometry, a 1-inch (25mm) anodized aluminum dome tweeter, and quad 4.5-inch (114mm) polycellulose ribbed cone woofers for deep, signature JBL bass.
Quad 4.5-inch (114mm) Polycellulose Ribbed Cone Woofers
The Stage 2 series utilizes polycellulose ribbed cone woofers, constructed from pure pulp with a proprietary material mix to enhance rigidity. The ribbed design pays homage to legendary JBL aesthetics while ensuring these woofers deliver deep, accurate, and room-filling bass.
1-inch (25mm) Anodized Aluminum Tweeter in a Next Generation HDI™ Waveguide
JBL's research into waveguide design has led to the creation of a complex geometry that enhances directivity, reduces diffraction, and maintains a neutral frequency response both on and off-axis. The Stage 2 HDI horn, paired with the anodized aluminum dome tweeter, boosts efficiency and dynamics.
Precision 2.5-Way Crossover
The Stage 245C features a unique two-and-a-half-way crossover design, crossing over the top woofer just below the tweeter's output, while the other woofer operates at a lower frequency. This results in a dynamic mid-range with powerful bass, delivering cohesive and balanced output that can be both heard and felt.
