2-Way 5.25-inch (130mm) Bookshelf Loudspeaker - Pair
Designed and engineered at JBL's prestigious Acoustic Engineering Center of Excellence in Northridge, California, the Stage 250B is the largest bookshelf loudspeaker in the JBL Stage Series. It delivers impressive performance in a compact design, making it versatile enough to serve as main speakers or surrounds. This loudspeaker features a 2-way design with JBL's Next Generation patented High-Definition Imaging (HDI™) waveguide geometry, a 1-inch (25mm) anodized aluminum dome tweeter, and a 5.25-inch (130mm) polycellulose ribbed cone woofer, providing deep, signature JBL bass.
5.25-inch (130mm) Polycellulose Ribbed Cone Woofer
Every speaker in the Stage 2 series is equipped with polycellulose ribbed cone woofers. The pure pulp cone has a proprietary mixture of materials that enhance rigidity while the ribs reflect JBL's legendary designs. These woofers generate deep, accurate, and room-filling bass.
1-inch (25mm) Anodized Aluminum Tweeter in a Next Generation HDI™ Waveguide
Through extensive research of previous waveguide designs, JBL has created a new complex geometry that enhances directivity, minimizes diffraction, and provides an overall neutral frequency response both on and off-axis. The Stage 2 HDI horn is paired with an anodized aluminum dome tweeter to boost efficiency and dynamics.
Precision 2-Way Crossover
The crossovers in the Stage 2 line are built with premium components. The high-frequency section incorporates air core inductors and mylar capacitors to reduce distortion and enhance sonic performance. The low-frequency section features laminate core inductors and electrolytic capacitors. These high-quality materials can handle more power and transmit energy rapidly, elevating overall system performance.
